I have a 'Culligan' Mark V water softner machine in my garage. How does it work?

It has a big steel tanks attached . . and a big salt tank. I emptied the salt out of the tank (it was nasty) . . . and bought new salt for it. How do I get it to work? I pushed the ‘recharge button’ and pushed the red button also & it started to backwash. It is doing that right now. After that I don’t know what to do. . . any help would be great. Also, should I get a new filter for it (new steel container). Thanks!!!!

I have a stock HEI ignition system should I upgrade?

1978 Chevy Silverado with a 350. The engine has had some upgrades Edelbrock four barrel, K&N air filter, Headman Headers, RV cam, after market fuel pump. Stock one just wasn’t giving it the fuel it needed. Also a 2" Carb spacer. It pushes about 250hp. Will I gain anything buy upgrading or will the factory Distributor handle it.

Can I turn on my hot water heater in an RV if I am running off an extension cord from a residential home?

My RV is hooked up via extension cord to a home. I am only using one light and a fan or switching it to only use of a small tv and a DVD player. Can I turn on the electric hot water heater and heat bath water safely both for me and the residential home?
My RV is 30 amp and the inside plug is a regular wall socket in the kitchen area but I am unsure of the amp of the breaker there.

how do you make canned soup Better?

ok sometimes i eat campbell’s soup. but alot of times i feel the soup has to much sodium in it. i was wondering if there was a way i could mod the soup for example i like

i was thinking that maybe i could pour the can into a filter and get rid of all the broth. and keep the carrots,and potaotes and meat, then make a new broth that is fresh and not as salty and more healthier, and then maybe add a little rice to it.

i was wondering if anyone knows a great simple recipie to create a new soup from a canned soup. i like this idea because most of the parts are already coming from a can and then i just have to add a new broth and rice. and it’s now a fresh real meal in no time.
i’m very interested in nutrition but sometimes i just don’t have a lot of time in my day to make a really good meal so i was thinking that maybe i could make a really fullfilling healthy meal by taking some short cuts and modifying.
